Alderman G. S. Lindgren.
Sir,

The enclosed is a copy of a petition which
is being sent by certain members of the Hong Kong Police Force to their respective members of Parliament, and which I think is self-explanatory.
I am a member of your constituency, and was a former member of Northants Constabulary, which I joined in 1950 on transier from the Metropolitan Police Force. I volunteered for lying auties with the Royal Air Force in 1941, and served as a navigator on Coastal Command until August 1945, when I was demobbed under 'B' Group and returned to Northants Constabulary, stationed in Wellingborough.
I would be very obliged to you if, after reading over the attached, and you consider there is a case to answer, you would bring the matter up in the House, with a view to clarifying our status out here.
Yours truly,
(SGD.) JOHN DULLEY BROWN.
